The 1986 Sharjah cup was his memorable knock & still when the discussion is on about Sharjah cup then definitely his name comes in our minds. The next name in our top ten lists is Legendary Hanif Muhammad. His passion & his sound technique are really admirable. He was a runs scoring machine of his era. If we compare with Sunil Gavaskar & Len Hutton then surly he is sounder than that of these both. The Asian Bradman Zaheer Abbas was a great improviser of the ball & no one can be of his class. He was the master of an extra cover drive. His presence on the wicket was always a red alert for every team in the World because he was a busy player & rotates the strikes quite easily. His high score is 274 which he made in Edgbaston & 240 at the Oval Cricket Ground. His class was that he nicely managed himself in the slow tracks that show his temperament & sound technique.

An outstanding & the classical left handed batsman Saeed Anwar was really pleasant to watch. He has been the successful opening batsman for Pakistan ever. He was a trusted opening batsman in the Pakistani batting line up. His Successful opening pair with Aamir Sohail has served Pakistan over the number of years. His majestic display of batting of 194 runs in the one day Internationals has been a World Record for the number of years & has been broken now.

The Majid Khan was a delightful Player of the Hook shoot. He was a master blaster of the bad wickets & possessed a wide range of shoots. He has scored fastest 112 in just 88 balls against England in the Prudential Trophy in 1974 & this was his best display of batting of that time.

7.

Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar

Quite simply the best player, let alone batsman, the country has ever produced.
Perhaps the most complete batsman and the most worshipped cricketer in the world, Tendulkar holds just about every batting record worth owning in the game, including those for most runs and hundreds in Tests and ODIs, and most international runs.
If he didn’t have a signature stroke – the upright, back-foot punch comes close – it’s because he was equally proficient at each of the full range of orthodox shots (and plenty of improvised ones as well) and can pull them out at will.
There were no apparent weaknesses in Tendulkar’s game.
He could score all around the wicket, off both front foot and back, could tune his technique to suit every condition, temper his game to suit every situation, and made runs in all parts of the world in all conditions.
Some of his finest performances came against Australia, the overwhelmingly dominant team of his era.

8. Mike Hussey

Top 10 Greatest Australian Batsmen of All Time
Mike Hussey

Mike Hussey occupies the eight spot in our list of Top 10 Greatest Australian Batsmen of All Time. Hussey  was a relative latecomer to both the ODI and Test teams, debuting at 28 and 30 years of age in the respective formats with 15313 first-class runs before making his Test debut. He is a run machine who is virtually impossible to be distracted at the crease. He is known for his consistency in batting across all formats irrespective of the conditions. Thousands of cricketers made their debut and retired at some stage, but Mike Hussey had the privilege to be called as Mr. Cricket. After two years in the Test side his average rose to 86.18 and when he called it a day he averaged 51.52 in Tests, 48.15 in ODI’s and 38 in T20’s. No wonder he is called Mr. Cricket.
9.
Abraham Benjamin de Villiers
AB de Villiers

A talented sportsman, de Villiers has not just excelled in cricket, but has also proved himself in other sports such as golf, rugby and tennis. Cricket was his passion though, and it soon turned out to be his chosen field for higher avenues. De Villiers spent his formative years with Nashua Titans, the Pretoria based franchise.

His supreme ability caught the eye of the selectors as he was fast-tracked into the national squad at an early age of 20. He made his Test debut against England in Port Elizabeth and showed his class with a fine knocks of 52 in just his fourth innings with the bat, saving South Africa from what looked like a certain defeat. He registered his first century during the same series, a fine 109 on his home ground in Centurion.

Having played both as an opener and as a lower-order wicket-keeper-batsman in his first Test series, de Villiers was earmarked for greatness. He soon proved his worth by amassing 460 runs in his first away tour to the Caribbean Islands in 2005. A slump in form ensured - de Villiers battled for runs against Australia both at home and away - he had to wait until the home series against West Indies in 2007-08 to again reach the three-figure mark. However, he made up for the lost time, spanking a fine 217 against India in Ahmedabad, the first South African player to hit a double ton against India
.

10.
Hashim Amla
Hashim Mahomed Amla
He was appointed captain of his state side - the Nashua Dolphins - at the tender age of 21 and soon impressed everyone with his demeanour. Earmarked as a special talent right from his young age, he led the South African side at the 2002 Under-19 World Cup and made his Test debut against India in 2004-05.

Questions were asked about his mental framework when his talent didn't translate into runs. His technique was thought to be suspect and a couple of failures only reinforced that belief. He was dropped from the side after the initial setbacks and went back to his domestic side and amassed runs to make a comeback. He made a career-saving 149 against New Zealand in Cape Town which ensured a draw.

Now, that knock gave him the self-belief that he could succeed at the international level and runs flowed from his blade. An unbelievable tour of India, where he was dismissed only once in three innings even as the Indians threw everything at him, proved to the world that Amla was the next big thing in world cricket. His run-tally of 490 runs in three innings at an average of 490 in a two Test match series was just simply out-of-the-world stuff.

Despite his magnificent record in Tests, he was always thought to be unsuitable to to the shorter formats of the game, but he proved that wrong by making two hundreds when the Proteas toured the West Indies in 2010 for a five-match ODI series. That performance ensured a permanent place in the South African ODI squad and he was given a chance in T20Is as well.
